Charlie Chan has worked extensively as a composer in film, theatre and television. Her work includes award winning scores for Australian Story (ABC), McLeod's Daughters (Nine Network) and the hugely successful play, Gift of the Gorgon, for Sydney Theatre Company. She also worked on the soundtrack for feature film, Me Myself I, starring Rachel Griffiths and has composed for numerous documentaries, which have been featured on National Geographic in Australia and abroad.

Her compositions span a number of forms, including classical, ambient, contemporary and jazz. She specialises in focusing on the powerful emotions evoked by the sounds of the piano.
