This website is run by Composed Music Pty Ltd (ABN 33 609 037 747), Brisbane, Queensland: Charlie Chan's company. We take your privacy seriously and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect. Only what you give us: your email address, your location (city and country) and anything you choose to write to us, such as your name or a message. Like most websites, ours also uses cookies and basic analytics so we can see how the site is used. You can turn cookies off in your browser.
Why we collect it. To run things you've asked to be part of, like the Make Time Stand Still concert draw; to send you music and news from Charlie if you've signed up; and to reply when you get in touch. Your location helps us check eligibility for Australian draws and know where our listeners are.
Who sees it. Charlie and the people who work with us to run the website and send emails. We use trusted service providers to do that, such as Squarespace, and some of them store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We never sell your details, and we only share them if the law requires it.
Emails. Every email we send has a one-click way to unsubscribe. Leave any time, no hard feelings.
Keeping it safe. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we delete what we no longer need.
Seeing or correcting your details. Ask us what we hold about you and we'll tell you. If something's wrong, we'll fix it. If you'd like us to delete your details, just say so.
Questions or complaints. Email music@charliechan.com.au. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
