Make Time Stand Still: the private concert draw

The fine print (it's short, I promise)

1. Who's running this. Composed Music Pty Ltd (ABN 33 609 037 747), Brisbane, Queensland. That's me, Charlie Chan.

2. Who can enter. Australian residents aged 18 or over. One entry per person. It's free. You never need to buy anything.

3. How to enter. Put your email and location into the form at charliechan.com.au/make-time-stand-still between 14 October 2026 and 11.59pm AEST on 30 November 2026.

4. The draw. Every entry goes into a bucket, and Salty, my border collie, pulls out the winner. He's impartial. Mostly. It happens in my Brisbane studio on 2 December 2026, and I'll film it. I'll email the winner within two days. If I can't reach you within 14 days, Salty draws again on 17 December 2026. The winner's first name and state go up on my website.

5. The prize. A private solo piano concert, around 30 minutes, improvised just for you. You choose:

In my studio in Brisbane. You and up to three guests, four people all up. Got a fifth? Talk to me. There's chai, or something harder.

Streamed live to your place. Invite as many friends as you like. Your lounge, your rules (within reason, see point 7).

Where you are. If I'm travelling near you, I might be able to come to you, as long as we can find a piano. We're pretty resourceful.

You go home with a piano key signed by me, in a note of your choosing, and a recording of the concert. The recording is yours to keep: a record of a moment we shared, not for commercial use.

Prize value: approximately A$2,950. The music and the moment are priceless.

6. How the music works. I don't play requests. What I do is better: we work out the mood together, and I play you something that has never existed before and never will again. If you'd like, I'll lead a group meditation too.

7. Being good humans. Be respectful, to me and to everyone in the room or on the stream. No nudity on a livestream, nothing illegal, nothing that makes anyone uncomfortable. If things go sideways, I can end the concert, and that counts as the prize delivered. Guests under 18 are very welcome with a parent or guardian with them.

8. When. We'll set a date that suits us both, within 12 months of the draw. If we can't find one in that time, the prize lapses.

9. The boring but important bits. The prize can't be swapped for cash or transferred to someone else. Getting to Brisbane is up to you: travel, accommodation and anything else aren't included. If something outside my control stops the concert (illness, disaster, the piano needs surgery), we'll reschedule. Nothing here limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. The draw result is final.

10. Your email. Entering also gets you one piece of solo piano music from me each week. Leave any time with one click. I never sell or share your details. Read my privacy policy.
