Columba is the dove. Its brightest star, Phact, takes its Arabic name from the ring dove, and is about 268 light years away. The tracks include Phact and Wazn.
Notes from Charlie: Mistakes are part of the creative process. Some stay in to be enjoyed, and some become the very idea a piece is built on. Sharing that process is my way of showing how infinite creativity really is. This one comes with all my love and harmony.
Every piece in Constellation is an improvisation. Most came in the middle of scoring a film or working on something else, when I needed to stop and stretch out at the piano. Recorded across more than 25 years, they were released as 52 collections, one a week through 2023, each following the night sky. Every track is named for a star. 433 improvisations, around 30 hours of music.
Creativity is infinite.
