52 albums in 52 weeks, that's the challenge award winning performer, and piano virtuoso Charlie Chan set themselves.
And today, they reached an extraordinary milestone, releasing the final album in their truly other-worldly Constellation album series.

Charlie Chan is an Australian musician and composer who's been recording solo piano works for 25 years. They developed their own musical AI assistant, ChAI (Charlie Chan AI) to emulate their musical style so they could ease their workload and enable themselves to eat and take short naps during concerts. “The idea was, I'll teach somebody how to do something very similar to me and get its ideas,” Charlie told Insight.

Several years ago, an Australian and a Virginian dreamed up an idea for a “global orchestra” — a fusion of music and technology as a means to connect diverse people all over the world. As part of that effort, they also dreamed up the “Concert for the Planet,” a live-stream event that uses technology to enable musicians at every level and every time zone to unite to play the same piece of music at the same time, communicating in a musical language “for the planet’s sake.”

Musicians Join Global Orchestra at NASA Langley
On March 28, 2015, NASA employees and symphonic musicians from across the region gathered at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, to be part of a first-of-its-kind online event called Global Orchestra's Concert for the Planet. The volunteers performed Holst's famous suite "The Planets." It was intended to raise awareness of environmental issues. Hosts for the event were the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in Australia.
Dogs in Darwin have been treated to the benefits of meditation through a special performance by composer Charlie Chan, who uses an instrument called the theremin.
The 24-hour marathon performance will be a part of the Supernova concert on the Gold Coast next weekend
